experience, (IYA) Inspire Youth Arts have developed a unique approach to delivering innovative, high quality, inclusive, bespoke arts projects with young people across Nottinghamshire and beyond. In 2018 Inspire was awarded NPO status from Arts Council England.

LUKE GRANTHAM – WOODHOUSE:
Tippyvshummanity is a human hailing from community recording studios Nottingham, his ‘music’ centers entirely around ants and the various habitats they inhabit, he often watches them to inspire greatness within himself.
With a voice described as beyond her years, Betsey’s big, powerhouse vocals leave everyone feeling emotionally moved. Betsey released her debut single, Survive in February, which reached no.6 in the RnB iTunes chart. Betsey is working with the First Light label.
Stan Buckroyd is an aspiring new artist from Nottingham who is currently writing and recording his own indie songs and plans to start releasing them on major platforms later this year. He currently has two demos on Soundcloud – Fences and All I Can See.
From Nottingham, Alfie Sharp’s voice is described as remarkably unique but it’s his grandmas-living-room style storytelling through songwriting that really sets him apart. His debut single Nostalgia, released in October 2019, hit number 2 in iTunes RnB charts and admired by BBC introducing as ‘Track of the Week’ nationally. Sharp signed to Island Records in Dec 2019 – what is about to come makes him one of the most exciting British artists ready to be discovered.

Sam is a 17-year-old guitarist and songwriter whose main influence is the blues rock and psychedelia of the 60s and 70s. He started playing guitar aged seven and has been writing and performing since he was 14.

Margarita is 17 years old, a member of IYA’s Singer-Songwriter Academy and has appeared on many IYA shows including ShowFest19 and BBC Introducing at Metronome. She has recently released her debut EP, Forgotten Colours.

From Nottingham, Remy borrows from pop, classic songwriting and 70s soul to create future hits. He supported Rag’N’Boneman and The Specials at Splendour, won the Future Sound Of Nottingham and appeared on BBC Introducing. With new material and industry attention, Remy will release his hotly anticipated new tracks in 2020.

Omari Marsalis is from St Anns, Nottingham, and has been writing music for over five years. His genre consists of a jazzy hip hop futuristic fusion, combining story telling, witty lyrics and a whole range of topics relating to real life.

Blending a variety of music genres including soul, RnB, pop and singer-songwriter, JERUB brings a combination of powerful vocals, heartfelt lyric and magical melodies. He began in April 2019 with his first single, Paint me in Gold, and his second single, Hold On, is out now.

award-winning musician from Able Orchestra, demonstrating how to make music using the Control 1 wheelchair controller. Jess’s wheelchair motion controller, Control 1, is hooked up to specially developed software by collaborators Si Tew and Owain Wilson, which enables her to create music via iPad and laptop, both written and improvised, and interact with projections. Jess has performed solo at the IYA BBC Introducing gig at Metronome 2019 and recently took part in a Google demo of the Control 1 controller at the South Bank in London.
